The work situation for makeup artists have changed and even though we’ve always put hygiene on top of the list, the COVID-19 pandemic calls for stronger measures. Masks and gloves are new items in our makeup kit. However, wearing masks is not exclusively recommended for makeup artists. We all want to stay safe and healthy when visiting public space. High fashion designers are now producing hygienic masks. Billie Eilish wore a Gucci face mask to the Grammy Awards and this was even before the pandemic had spread in the United States. The supply of face masks on the online market place Etsy has totally exploded and the demand doesn’t seem to be decreasing. Stating that protection masks should be considered a fashion accessory, would be taking the severe situation we’re in too lightly. However, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to look good while wearing one. Here’s a selection of stylish masks, each with a matching outfit.
